About Lift Games

Lift Games is a start-up company that specializes in providing iPhone-based for LDS church members to enjoy.  We offer exciting opportunities for using technology to study and remember scripture masteries and other important doctrines. Our main objective is to create games that increase the knowledge and testimony of others, and to make the iPhone, iPod and iPad exciting tools to learn and have fun.

We often think of seminary and institute students. We intend, however, to provide games that are fun for those with a significant amount of experience in the gospel and those with less.

Being a company that is comprised soley of enthusiastic church members, we feel that we have the ability to create innovative games that are fun and uplifting for members around the world.

We started out offering a game simple game called Name That Hymn! We now have LDS Millionaire and LDS Voices on the store. We have a team of developers involved in creating and maintaing these apps, and many thanks goes out to them for their hard work.

Be sure to check back regularly for updates and information on upcoming projects! If you feel you have something to contribute, feel free to contact us with ideas or feedback.  Make sure to check out our Facebook and Twitter accounts.

About Joshua Howland

I am the person behind the scenes that will answer your emails and phone calls. I thought it would be nice to let you know a little bit about me.

I am a Salt Lake resident born and raised. I have a beautiful wife and a little princess on the way. (I’ll try to remember to update this page after my little girl is born – should be August) I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Economics.

I served a full time mission in Fukuoka Japan, and taught at the MTC for almost 3 years after I got home. I love business and work hard to deliver quality products and services to people with interests I love. I love the gospel and am excited to create these apps for others to enjoy.

You can find more about me at my personal blog jkhowland.vc. Or you can check me out on twitter @jkhowland.  I always answer emails as quickly as I can, but I’ve found that it’s best to turn off my phone when I get home.  So if you didn’t get an immediate answer from me, take heart that I was spending time with my family.
